Intro
Chris has a keen interest in physiotherapy specialising in musculoskeletal health.
Chris has a personal interest and has worked in several different sports, most notably, Mixed martial arts, Brazilian ju-jitsu, kickboxing, muay Thai, boxing, wrestling and netball. Chris also has treated athletes and hobbyists from gym goers and strongman to bowls and football.
Currently Chris is working on developing his skills further, by completing lower limb and nerve courses in active release techniques.
Certifications and memberships
Chris has qualifications in medical acupuncture, level 1&2 strength and conditioning coach, pilates level 1 instructor and Active Release Techniques upper and spine level 1. He is a current member of the chartered society of physiotherapy and is registered with the regulatory body HCPC.
Education & experience
Chris graduated from the University of Essex in 2016 with a MSc in Physiotherapy.
Chris has experience working in acute hospital wards, Intensive care unit, emergency department, hand therapy, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics and post surgical rehab. He has worked in hospitals across the province as well as England.
Practice approach
Chris’s treatment approach is holistic. Chris understands that healing starts with good wellbeing and will advise you on this. Chris has excellent manual therapy skills releasing tight muscles , ligaments and working on tendons. Chris is also highly competent at spinal and joint manipulation. He may decide to use electrotherapy such as shockwave ,ultrasound or medical acupuncture techniques. Your treatment will be bespoke to you and your injury.
